Happiness is a muscle, flex it

When we put stress on a muscle repeatedly, body has no other option but to make that muscle stronger. It adapts to change. Same goes with happiness.

"Happiness is a muscle, you gotta flex it" says Naval Ravikant.

We're a happy person or not, our genetics have only half say in it. And the rest half can be cultivated.
Not succumbing to negative thoughts, keeping a positive focus, and reminding ourselves to be grateful and happy for what we have, regularly, is like flexing your happiness-muscles. Slowly, our brain, gets used to these thoughts, becomes more receptive to it. And after a while, they become default.

Sometimes we don't feel like lifting weights, similarly, sometimes we would want to drown in self-pity and negativeness. Then we have to do it anyways, we might fail in getting happier that day. But, like body-weight, the specific goal of single day's training is failure and the goal of training in general is success.
